Autonomía y Deber Ser

Autonomía y Deber Ser is a performance presented at the XI Media Arts Biennial, at Museo de Bellas Artes, on the 12th of November, 2013, by Voy llegando Collective (Mariana Urzua and Sayaka Fujio). 

In the rite of passage into adulthood, this performance explored what is lost and gained by being part of a patriarchal society as a woman. The 'ought to be' presents itself as an expectation to fulfill, but is there truly an "ought" beyond simply "Being"?
